Notarial Services

Notarial services are legal acts which allow a written record to be used for official or legal purposes. This includes using a document in a court of law. The Australian High Commission in Nuku’alofa can provide some notarial services on a fee-for-service basis. More information about the notarial services we offer can be found on the Smartraveller website.

All documents relating to the notarial services you require must be presented to the notarial officer, and you must bring a form of photo identification.

If you are unsure of the legislative requirements relating to the notarial service you require you should seek independent legal advice, or seek clarification from the agency who is requesting the documents. The Australian High Commission in Tonga is unable to provide any legal advice. Fees paid for notarial services are non-refundable.
