PROGRAM MANAGER –
INFRASTRUCTURE, DISASTER AND COMMUNICATIONS
The Australian Aid Program (AAP) assists in the management of the Australian Government’s aid program in the Pacific. AAP Nuku’alofa manages programs in a range of sectors including Health, Education, Infrastructure, Economic and Public Sector and Climate Change & Environment.
AAP Nuku’alofa is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced high performing professional to work as part of a team managing Infrastructure, coordinate and administer the Volunteers Program and Disaster Preparedness and Response, and manage public diplomacy and communications.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for developing and implementing programs, policies, planning processes, financial, and alignment with broader AAP strategic objectives.
Specific responsibilities may incorporate the full spectrum of program management including managing and monitoring the performance of complex projects, contracts and suppliers, expenditure acquittal and budget compliance, financial reporting, preparation and presentation of program briefings and activity reports, evaluation and policy implementation, as well as building strong relationships with Government of Tonga, program stakeholders, other donors, contractors, and regional and multilateral organisations.
