What is FFOV?

The Families Free of Violence (FFOV) Program is a three-year program funded by the Australian Government, and implemented in cooperation with the Government of Tonga. The purpose of the program is to strengthen frontline response to family violence in Tonga, and increase community awareness of the impacts of family violence.

Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey

The Australian Government will proceed with the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey of all Australians on the Commonwealth Electoral Roll. Instructions on survey participation will be published on the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) website.

Return of your personal documents

The Visas and Migration section holds a number of personal documents submitted as evidence by visa applicants seeking to migrate to Australia.

If you have submitted personal documents and wish for these to be returned please contact before 23 June 2017.

After this date all documents not collected will be destroyed.

Overseas Surcharge to apply from 1 July 2015

From 1 July 2015 passport applications lodged overseas will incur an additional fee (overseas surcharge). The additional fee will be A$100 for all adult applications, and A$50 for all child applications. The fee will not apply to emergency passport applications.

The 2016 Tonga Study Awards Programme (TSA) is jointly sponsored by the Governments of Tonga, New Zealand and Australia. Under the TSA Programme, scholarships are available for study either in the region or New Zealand, depending on where a particular course is offered.
